Holiday season 2026 · Every dated page
Every holiday game page, in date order
49 pages across 6 occasions, each one built only from the 95 games we re-read on Amazon this week and found in stock, with the date of every price on the page. Start with the occasion that comes first.
Prices on every page below were read on Nov 3. Each page is rebuilt every morning from the previous night's reads.
The Thanksgiving table
Thursday, November 26, 23 days away. Games for a crowd of cousins and in-laws: big player counts, quick rounds, nothing that takes an hour to explain.
Black Friday price drops
Friday, November 27, 24 days away. Every game selling below the price we last read, biggest drop first, rebuilt nightly through Cyber Monday.
Secret Santa and White Elephant
Most exchanges fall in the last two weeks before Christmas. Games under the cap the office set, biggest table first, so the gift gets played at the party.
Stocking stuffers
Friday, December 25, 52 days away. Every game under $20, cheapest first: real games in small boxes, not filler.
Christmas by table and budget
Friday, December 25, 52 days away. One short list for each kind of table at each budget, most specific first, from the games we re-read this week.
New Year's Eve
Thursday, December 31, 58 days away. Party games that seat five or more and finish fast, biggest table first, so a round fits before the countdown.
How these pages work.
Which page do I need?
Pick the occasion, then the table. Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve are sorted by how many people the game seats. Black Friday is the page for any game you were going to buy anyway. Christmas is sorted by who is playing and what you want to spend; Secret Santa by the cap the office set; stocking stuffers by price.
Why do the counts change from day to day?
Every page only includes games whose Amazon listing we read within the past seven days and found in stock at a price. When a read fails or a listing sells out, the game drops off until the next successful read, so a list can be shorter one morning and longer the next.
Are the order-by dates official?
No. They are our planning dates with a few days of margin, set from the holiday's date and last year's carrier cutoffs. The delivery estimate on the listing itself is the number that counts, so check it before you pay.
The long versions are on the blog: the Christmas board game guide and the holiday gathering guide. The same season on the gift side is PicksByGift's holiday season index.
