Corners have speed limits, and exceeding one costs you heat cards that clog your hand; you cool off by dropping to lower gears, and if you cannot pay the heat you spin out. The whole game is that decision, over and over: push hard into the corner and pay for it later, or ease off and watch the car ahead pull away.

It is quick to teach because the metaphor does all the work, everyone understands taking a corner too fast, and it plays in under an hour even with six cars on the track.
